Gear Rail Logistics (“GRL”), provides customised rail logistics to tackle complex railway and transportation problems.
We partner with regional railways and ports to service our customers through the development of rail corridor freight solutions and rail terminal infrastructure, facilitating freight migration from ‘road to rail’.
Many of these logistics solutions require significant capital investment in infrastructure and rolling stock, so we work closely with diverse financial partners to access development, equity and debt funding. These projects are typically developed and executed via SPVs that bring aligned stakeholders together in delivering successful freight logistics solutions that unlock rail and port capacity.
The services we provide include rail siding access and management, bulk consolidation and containerisation at siding and terminals, loading and offloading, provision and scheduling rolling stock (locomotives and wagons), management of rolling stock maintenance, rail slots and port capacity, shunting, yard management and more.
GRL prioritises projects that focus on both rail and terminal asset transformation as a cornerstone to improved and sustainable regional rail logistics that increase the adoption of rail as a freight preference.
